What we collect, and why

  • The name you choose - to show it on the grid and the contributors page. It is public by design. Leave it blank and you are listed as Anonymous.
  • Your email address - Stripe asks for it at checkout and sends your receipt. We ask for it ourselves only while payments are off, to reach you about a hold.
  • Your poster (The Wall) - to show it on the grid. The file you send is kept privately in case of a dispute; only a copy we make from it is ever shown. If the purchase is not completed, it is deleted.
  • Payment details - handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. Stripe tells us the amount, the currency and whether the payment succeeded.
  • What your browser sends - such as your IP address, kept in server logs to keep the site running and secure.

We use your data to carry out your contribution, to meet accounting and tax obligations, and to keep the site secure. We do not sell it, and we do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Who processes it for us

  • Stripe - payments.
  • Supabase - our database and file storage, including posters, hosted in Frankfurt, Germany.
  • Render - our server, hosted in Frankfurt, Germany.
  • Cloudflare - delivers the website, and when you buy, its Turnstile check confirms that a person, not a script, is buying.
  • Sentry - tells us when something on our server breaks. Its reports carry technical details only, never your name, email address or payment details.

How long we keep it

Order records for as long as accounting and tax law requires. Your name and poster for as long as they are on the grid. Server logs and error reports for a short period.

Your rights

You can ask to see the data we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted - including taking your name off the grid. You can object to how we use it, or ask for a copy. Write to the contact address above. You can also complain to the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic (Úrad na ochranu osobných údajov Slovenskej republiky).

The terms of your contribution are on the terms page.
